Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated July 30, 2026

You can remove a connected social account or permanently delete your PostCopilot account without contacting support.

1. Disconnect Instagram or Threads

Sign in to PostCopilot, open My Apps, select the connected Instagram or Threads app, and choose Disconnect. PostCopilot removes its stored OAuth grant and stops future provider access. Drafts, delivery receipts, metrics, and other workspace records remain until you delete them or permanently delete the account. To revoke the provider authorization itself, also remove PostCopilot in your Instagram or Threads account settings.

You can also revoke PostCopilot from the connected provider's account settings. Revoking access stops future API access but does not delete posts that you already chose to publish.

2. Delete your PostCopilot account

Sign in with Google, open Account Management, choose the account deletion control, review the permanent-deletion warning, and confirm by typing your account email. The deletion workflow removes active account, workspace, connected-provider token, content, and queued-cleanup data.

Backups and security records expire under the retention periods described in the Privacy Policy. Records required for fraud prevention, disputes, or law may be retained only for the necessary period.

3. If you cannot sign in

Email support@postcopilot.co from the address associated with the account and request deletion. Include only the account email and the connected provider name; never send an Instagram, Threads, Facebook, LinkedIn, or X password.

We may ask for limited verification before acting so that another person cannot delete your account.

4. Meta provider callbacks

Instagram and Threads may also notify PostCopilot directly when a person removes the app or requests deletion through Meta. Signed provider requests are verified before the matching provider connection data is deleted.
